แล้วในคืนฝนตกหนักคืนหนึ่ง โรงแรมแห่งนี้ก็ได้ต้อนรับแขกผู้มาพักคือ เฉิดโฉมที่หนีจากนายปราโมทย์ สามีเพื่อจะเข้ากรุงเทพฯ แต่ฝนตกหนักก่อน ก็เลยแวะเข้าพักที่โรงแรม ระหว่างนั้นนายปราโมทย์ก็ตามมาทันและขอคืนดี แต่เฉิดโฉมไม่ยอมกลับบ้าน จึงเกิดปากเสียงจะทำร้ายกัน เฉิดโฉมจึงขอร้องให้นายปั้นผู้จัดการโรงแรมช่วยเหลือ ซึ่งทำให้นายปราโมทย์โกรธและพูดขู่จะฆ่าเฉิดโฉมทิ้งแล้วก็กลับไป
วิญญาณหลวงนฤบาลฯ จึงเข้าสิงนายเปลื้องแล้วบังคับให้ไปฆ่าป้าชื่น ป้าของมยุรีที่มาพักโรงแรม เมื่อฆ่าเสร็จก็หนีไป ทุกคนบอกกับผู้กองชิงชัยว่า นายเปลื้องเป็นคนฆ่า แต่เชื่อว่าเป็นเพราะผีร้ายเข้าสิงให้ทำ ขอให้ตำรวจอย่าเพิ่งทำอันตรายนายเปลื้อง แต่เมื่อนายเปลื้องกลับมาเพื่อมอบตัว วิญญาณหลวงนฤบาลฯ ก็เข้าสิงอีก แล้วบังคับให้นายเปลื้องต่อสู้ ยิงกับตำรวจจนถูกตำรวจยิงตาย
